"It was hard to be interested in other things whilst I was pregnant. This work is about the peace and well-being during that time, as well as the sense of fear, horror and a general obsession with the changing body. Such a common and natural state for any woman to be in, that the extraordinary and totally engulfing experience is somehow nullified and unremarkable"
